Northwest MedStar nurses are the best in the business. Though they are required to have at least three years of emergency, trauma and critical care experience before joining Northwest MedStar, our nurses average four times the minimum - with the average length of experience for our nursing staff at 12 years. Even then, the training never stops.
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (according to the latest standards of the American Heart Association)
- CCRN - Critical Care RN, Adult and Pediatric
- CEN - Certified Emergency Nurse
- CFN - Certified Flight Nurse
- NREMT and/or NREMT-P - Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (according to the latest standards of the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics)
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (according to the latest standards of the American Heart Association)
- RNC - Registered Nurse Certified - Neonatal
- TNATC - Transport Nurse Advanced Trauma Course
- TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum
- NVG - Night Vision Goggles
Many of our crew members are also instructors in these certification courses.
